This month: the Wallets
In order to store the Digital Artworks (NFTs) that you buy, you need a Wallet.
The Wallets do not only allow the storage of Digital Artworks, they also enable to store Crypto “money” (Bitcoins, Ethereums, Tezos …). What is more, those wallets also enable to send and receive both Digital Artworks and Cryptos.
In the world of Digital Arts, most of the Collectors use different wallets:
# One for the Ethereum based Artworks (the number 1 wallet for that being Metamask)
# One for Tezos based Artworks (like the Temple Wallet)
The Tezos chain is important for Digital Artists. Many now famous artists (selling for very high prices on the Ethereum blockchain) started with publishing their Artworks on Tezos. As the Artworks on the Tezos chain are sensibly cheaper (and we insist: not necessarily of lower quality), we advize you to start with at least the Temple Wallet.
🚨Important security notes: when you create your wallet, you will receive a 12 words secret phrase (a code to restore your wallet, if needed).
NEVER EVER SHARE THESE 12 WORDS with anybody, with any website. NEVER! One of the Artcrush founders lost $21.000 in Digital Artworks, last year, to learn this lesson. Don’t be stupid, don’t be like him.

This month: The Ordinals Saga
What are Ordinals?
Ordinals are blockchain inscriptions, on the Bitcoin Chain BTC. Of course, this is not new.
But until now the inscriptions on the BTC Blockchain were limited to 80ko. This was insufficient to allow storage of Digital Art.
A group of people found a technical solution to store up to 4MB in a block on the blockchain. And this, of course, is enough to store a lot of Artworks
So Ordinals are a bit like what NFT’s are for the Ethereum or the Tezos chains, but here for the Bitcoin chain!
Why is it important?
Because a lot of original crypto adepts own bitcoin and are bitcoin chain fans. So, in fact, this innovation might sensibly broaden the amount of collectors.
What to think about Ordinals?
We asked our community through Twitter and 50 followers responded
The results: 25% of our followers seem to believe really strongly in the future of Ordinals, 31% are uncertain (“maybe”) and 44% percent don’t believe in it or think it’s just hype
Here are a few reference projects related to Ordinals:

This month: meet one of the founder
📣So Mat, who are you?
Hi everybody. My name is Mathieu France and I’m a 48 years old dad of 3 kids. With my wonderful wife, Valerie, we live in Waterloo – close to Brussels, in Belgium.
I’m an entrepreneur at heart, it’s always been one of my favorite ways to express my creativity. For the past 20 years, I have built and run 2 billboards companies in Belgium: Mediafield.com and MediaExpo.be.
As I have been active in the billboards industry for the past 20 years, I developed both knowledge and relationships in the business of creating visibility in urban space.
📣So what brought you to become one of the founders of Artcrush?
To keep it simple, it’s because I discovered the mission of my life, two years ago, during a coaching session with a friend of mine (Xavier Lederer). Xavier helped me uncover that the mission of my life is to color the life of people in outstanding ways.
When I realized that, I started to think about how I could put the billboards that I had created in Belgium, to the service of the people, or at least a part of them. That was in January 2021. And a few months later, Beeple sold one of his Digital Artworks for $69M.
So, as the industry of Digital Art developed, I one day realized it would be great if we could share Digital Art in Billboards.
Not only in my billboards, but in all the Billboards of the world.
Not only during special events, but every day.
📣All right, thank you Mat. Anything else to say?
Yes, thank you to our followers, our community and our partners.
You are changing the life of a lot of artists around the world, you will be changing the life of many citizens in your city I’m sure, and you certainly changed my life for the better during the past 12 months (not talking about financials here, but about Art & precious new relationships).
So 1 million times: thank you.
LFG !
